Mara Ackermann

Licensed in 1998, Mara Ackermann has over 20 years of real estate experience in the New Albany, OH real estate industry. Additionally, obtaining her Broker’s license in 2002, Mara has received multiple sales awards and has been recognized nationally in the real estate community.

In 2004 Mara was the recipient of Realtor Magazine’s (national publication) 30 Under 30 annual award which recognizes 30 aspiring realtors nationwide based on sales productivity and community involvement combined. Also that same year, Business First awarded Mara the Forty Under 40 Award recognizing local Columbus business people under the age of 40 that excel in professional development, awards and recognitions, and community involvement. Since her entrance into real estate, Mara has been a member of a Central Ohio RE/MAX Top 10 team since 1998, is a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame (2008), received the award of RE/MAX International Broker of the Year (2006), and annually is awarded with the RE/MAX Plantinum Club Award based on Sales Achievement.

Mara Ackermann is a lifelong resident of Columbus, OH except for attending Wittenberg University for 4 years from where she graduated in 1998 with a B.A. in English. While at Wittenberg University, Mara ran Varsity Track and served as the President of the Delta Gamma Sorority.

Mara lives in New Albany with her husband, Jim Ziminski and her 2 daughters Elle and Isla. Her two step children, Valerie and Andrew, are graduates of The Ohio State University (2014) and Wittenberg University (2015).
